Andy Emerson
Andy Emerson started his career in the bulk material handling industry as a Structural Engineer-in-Training in 1998. The early stages of his career were spent designing structures for material handling systems including trusses, galleries, support bents, bins and chutes, transfer towers, and other industrial structures. He also spent considerable time in the field providing supervision of structural and mechanical erection and system commissioning. He soon moved to Project Management, eventually becoming responsible for oversight of all of his company’s projects in Latin America and acting as a liaison with the entity’s division in Chile. In 2005, he became a shareholder and eventually majority owner and President. Emerson then held senior management positions with P&L responsibility for divisions of large, multinational firms in the mining and material handling industries before co-founding MHSolutions. Emerson holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a minor in Spanish, which he speaks fluently, and an MBA. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the state of Idaho, USA.
